The IT Rollout Project Leader is responsible for defining and implementing Rollout, Remodel and Acquisition processes, methods and practices. This position will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining robust and meaningful rollout plans and checklists for our vendor technicians and checkout resources. This leader will work closely with internal stakeholders to define concept scopes and timelines. Will manage the budget, inventory, invoices and payments for rollouts. Will plan, lead and coordinate technology projects to ensure project goals and objectives are accomplished within budget and on schedule. Will identify issues and drive technical solutions that ensure a great opening and culinary operations experience. Will manage issues to resolution. Will keep an open line of communication with concept leaders and restaurant managers to insure quality. Will operate within Darden's SDLC methodologies and adhere to technical architecture standards. Will actively communicate issues and resolution to leadership.


-Utilize knowledge and experience in restaurant technology, new restaurant openings and rollouts. Develop detailed project work plans. Define and implement appropriate rollout processes, procedures, budgets and timelines.

-Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones and required tasks. Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.

-Lead the development, creation and documentation of technical rollout specifications and designs from which applications and/or technical solutions can be developed that satisfy documented business /functional requirements and are flexible and expandable.

-Work closely with key stakeholders and other project team members to understand and prioritize functional requirements and information needs.

-Ensure issues are analyzed, discussed and resolved in a timely manner. Identify risk mitigation steps and recommend actions to address project issues. Partner with project manager and team to ensure risks and issues are managed to closure.

-Distribute workload and provide direction to team members to solve issues. Manages issue escalation process as needed.

-Consistently enhance skills and job knowledge by researching new technologies and collaborating with development and engineering teams.

-Understand and achieve a high level of competence in checkout analyst role. Fill in for checkout analysts as needed to complete checkouts.

-Adhere to SDLC and technology architecture requirements. Contribute to architecture design principles and standards as appropriate.

-Proactively identify and communicate potential problems and issues to project manager and IT Leadership team. Proactively identify alternatives and recommend/implement solutions as appropriate.

-Adjust the Bill of Materials and communicate budget increases and decreases.

-Process invoices associated with Rollouts, Remodels and Acquisitions.

-Provide regular feedback to team members to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved.

-Orient and train staff as necessary. Provides staff performance evaluation input to manager.

-Routinely report and communicate accurate project status and work estimates (ETCs) to project managers in a timely fashion.

-Provide leadership, direction, and motivation to project team members throughout the project life.

-IT rollouts and installations

-Inventory Management

-Hardware and Software staging efforts

-Brand Acquisitions/IT Transitions

-POS Hardware and Software including configurations

-Kitchen Display Systems

-Cabling Management

-Constructing and implementing rollout checklists

-Performing large rollouts

-Ability to design and implement rollout statuses and measurements that drive performance improvements (eg. Issue resolution, revisit rates, etc.)

-Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience

-Deriving and Leading technical solutions

-Experience in the planning, allocation and scheduling of tasks


-Strong understanding of Darden’s hardware, software and network configuration.
