The Safety Supervisor is a key member of the Risk Management team, this team member will report to Risk Management leadership. The team lead will collaborate with brand leadership teams, the restaurant support center departments, internal risk management team, and external business partners to create and execute safety focused team projects.

-Coordinate and develop safety management program resources and training materials, measuring success of redesigned programs and other safety projects

-Develop and implement accident prevention strategies for safety and injury prevention programs with a goal of reducing accidents and casualty related costs

-Identifies and analyzes emerging risks and evaluate potential hazardous conditions/trends and develop solutions to address, developing operations training and education to eliminate workplace hazards/exposures, enhanced claims management, and overall cost mitigating factors

-Create and implement safety team project timelines, including setting targets and milestones and adhering to deadlines, providing clear expectations on projects to other team members and stakeholders

-Research and coordinate with key stakeholders all elements of the project, develop action plans, assign roles and responsibilities to other, gain brand alignment, and full execution

-Maintain direct and open interaction with brand leadership, restaurant support center key stakeholders, and risk management team members to make sure all resources needed for the project are available

-Track all projects to completion timely, having self accountability to ensure successful project completions

-Acts as liaison and professional resource to operations management for overall risk, claims management, and safety related matters, participating in SVP and Director of Operations meetings to review performance, trends, emerging risks and risk mitigation recommendations

-Performs Restaurant Safety Audits to ensure safe working conditions, partnering with brand design/facilities on any areas of concerns and developing training content to address emerging trends

-Manages the process of researching, testing and deployment of new equipment, design change implications and operational process changes through consultation with internal departments and outside vendors (e.g. Supply Chain, Design/Construction, Culinary, TQ, etc.)

-Manage all OSHA compliance matters and assists in responding to compliance concerns related to OSHA citations, regulatory hazardous material reporting, and other regulatory matters related to safety and risk control



-Minimum of 5 years risk management or safety management experience leading projects and teams in corporate, restaurant or retail environments

-Must possess a strong background in the administration of all safety and risk related practices

-Previous experience handling and resolving incidents and risk management

-Project Management experience or certifications


-Bachelor's degree preferably in Risk Management, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Safety, Safety Management or related field
