JOB OVERVIEW:

The Communications Specialist serves as a generalist for the broader department’s holistic communications efforts, including corporate communications, brand public relations and employee communications. They will have the opportunity to learn multiple facets of the business and apply storytelling strategy to effective communications tactics that support operations, marketing and HR business goals.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Develop, lead and execute creative and quality communication campaigns for assigned initiatives across internal and external channels that achieve business objectives and KPIs.

-Support department managers and directors in the execution of large-scale communications programs.

-Serve as a copywriter for communications tactics and collateral, involving identifying a compelling narrative, coordinating interviews and routing for approvals.

-Serve as content owner for internal communications channels, including company newsletter, intranet, etc.

-Measure progress and reporting for communications plans and campaigns, including learning media relations and internal communications tools and distilling data to be actionable for future campaigns.

-Stay current on industry best practices and evolutions to inform strategy.


REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

-1-3 years’ experience in communications, journalism, agency or other relevant experience

-Working knowledge of integrated communications best practices, tactics and tools

-Excellent writing and editing skills, including AP Style, for high-impact messaging

-Strong project management skills, ability to prioritize and be comfortable managing simultaneous deliverables

-Comfort interacting with restaurant teams and other key partners

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

-Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
