JOB OVERVIEW:

The Product Supply Representative will be responsible for the flow of food and beverage materials through Darden’s grocery distribution system.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inventory Management

- Coordinate with various parties across supply chain including Suppliers, Distributors, and internal teams to ensure continuous supply to our restaurants. Utilize existing systems and create additional tools to analyze, assess, and adjust inventory levels throughout all DCs.

-Analyze forecasts/projections for products under your direct responsibility. Develop product deployment plan, with input from Product Planning, Culinary, suppliers, Darden procurement, and DC buyers for execution.

-Communicate and follow through to ensure compliance to inventory standards and policies throughout the Supply Chain

-Ensure that distribution centers and hub locations are constantly informed of menu requirements, promotions, product field-testing, new items & programs, specification updates, restaurant openings/closings and customer organization such that their respective teams are making adjustments to their forecasts to have inventory available.

-Work with Suppliers to ensure successful production of finished goods and to provide the least cost mode of transportation in a timely manner such that our system has ample supply to meet the needs of the business

-Challenge any policies or decisions by our distribution partners to ensure successful performance

-Manage item inventory against shelf life and demand with a goal of minimizing obsolete inventory exposure.

-Own the management of product allocations between the DCs while being a consultant to the concepts and vendors.


Relationship Management

-Interact with Distribution centers and hubs across North America providing excellent communication and oversight with a consolidated vision in-line with the needs of our concepts and restaurants.

-Negotiate logistics and expense with 3rd party distributors recognizing supply chain needs on each product involved.

-Develop and maintain relationships with concepts and distributors proactively identifying areas of opportunity and offer solutions using an effective communication strategy of recommendations for the customer.

-Oversee and negotiate issue resolution with concepts, vendors, distribution centers and distributor departments with the goal of aligning and maintaining relationships with all partners.

-Work with partners in the restaurant operations teams to correct any restaurant behavior that may inhibit our ability to be successful


Restaurant Support

-Leverage the scale of our supply chain and vendor relationships to create differentiated outcomes for our restaurant managers.

-Provide leadership insights into Darden Supply Chain capabilities and effectively influence all stakeholders for success.

-Be credible advisor when presented with difficult situations, always ensuring the outcome leaves our operators able to successfully serve the guest


REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

-Minimum of three years in distribution environment

-Strong analytical and quantitative skills

-Strong negotiation skills

-Advanced user of Excel, experience with databases including Business Intelligence or Access

-Demonstrated ability to problem solve in the areas of inventory management, logistics, vendor relationships, contract administration, etc.


REQUIRED EDUCATION:

-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management
