The Graphic Design Manager leads a team of Graphic Designers, serving as an in-house creative agency for Darden’s brands and business units. The high-volume team supports initiatives across the organization, including within marketing, human resources and operations. The Manager is responsible for directing workflows and coaching the team in addition to serving as an additional designer.

Flexible work arrangements offered, such as flexible start & end times and remote work options up to 2 days per week as business needs allow.


-Sets the strategic direction for the Graphic Design team and ensures resources to achieve goals and standards

-Assumes the Account Manager role to meet with leaders and members of the brands and business units to understand project goals, timelines and mandatories then coordinates resources to achieve communication and design goals

-Translates business objectives and needs into compelling campaigns and visual storytelling opportunities

-Serves as project manager for incoming design requests and directs the project flow of the team, ensuring deliverables and deadlines are met while upholding the standards of the brand and communications team

-Serves as an expert in branding and brand standards for Darden and its eight restaurant brands to maintain visual consistency in collateral

-Leverages expertise and provides counsel to internal clients, including marketing, human resources, culinary and operations, on how best to visually represent communication goals

-Coaches and develops Graphic Designers to ensure utmost technical capabilities and inter-personal skills to interact with internal clients

-Stays current on visual design trends, tools and development opportunities that can be leveraged by Darden

-Creates graphic designs and layouts for print, digital, signage and merchandising creative


-Mastery of Graphic Design Platforms and Tools: Demonstrates the mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Acrobat) and advanced Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

-Project Management: Demonstrates the capability to manage multiple priorities and create a functional workflow among the team while keeping internal clients informed

-Leadership: Demonstrates the capability to motivate and inspire a team and drive a culture of continuous innovation

-Client Service: Demonstrates the capability to interact with and provide recommendations to all levels of the organization, including executives, in a professional and service-oriented manner

-Marketing and Communications: Demonstrates the capability to craft a compelling story and bring it to life through visual campaigns


-Bachelor’s Degree in a related field


-5+ years of design, agency, communications or other relevant experience

-Proven professional design expertise across all mediums

-Ability to manage multiple projects and business partners

-Ability to handle feedback on design projects in a constructive manner

-Strong initiative and a high sense of urgency and flexibility

-Passion for food and hospitality


-Demonstrated ability to lead a team

-Experience with Basecamp or other project management tools
