JOB OVERVIEW:

The Product Supply Specialist will be responsible for the flow of expedite materials through Darden’s grocery distribution system and food/smallwares to restaurants for requested recoveries.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Expedite/Recovery Planner

-Coordinate with various parties across supply chain including Suppliers, Distributors, and internal teams to ensure tracking of expedite/recovery process

-Issue purchase orders for all transfer expedites along with restaurant recoveries

-Monitor and communicate daily updates to product supply team on restaurant recoveries (timing/ order quantities)

-Log all PO’s, track all invoices/backup, and ensure timely processing of payment


Obsolete Inventory Management

-Responsible for tracking and reporting on all obsolete/slowing moving inventory (quantities and dollar value)

-Reviews Obsolete Inventory weekly with DC’s/DDL and PSA’s

-Provides initial research to determine reasoning behind all transactions

-Provides Disposition/Donation approval to DC’s

-Follows through with DC’s to confirm product is removed from the DC within 30 days


Invoice Reporting/ Admin Responsibilities

-Ensure all freight invoices are processed within timely manner

-Own invoice submission along with i-Buy approval for freight related invoices

-Run Daily reporting of Open PO Reports / OOS Logs / Tracking Files

-Provide NRO Large Food Orders and Initial Smallwares Orders to distribution team and ensure product requirements are made

-Support Product Supply Analysts and Distribution/Operations with any additional reporting/ i-Supply Logistics Changes / Hurricane Task Force trucks/emergency materials deployment


REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

-Minimum of two years in distribution environment

-Strong analytical and quantitative skills

-Advanced user of Excel, experience with databases including Business Intelligence or Access


REQUIRED EDUCATION:

-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management

-Strong communication skills and customer service orientation

-Ability to persuade people and influence decisions
