The HR Technology Systems Engineer partners with various teams across the RSC and IT Partners to leverage the return on HR technologies by ensuring assigned system(s) deliver the designed process, reports and service levels to meet or exceed user expectations. This position is responsible for process administration and reporting, data integration with other systems, system upgrades, and continuous process improvement. The HR Technology Systems Engineer consults with HR Technology Team and Business Owners to establish projects to implement new or enhanced processes and manages projects to completion, including change management and training coordination. This position is also responsible for writing/editing code to create complex reports in a fast paced environment using various programming tools.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Production Support: Provide technical support for systems, including monitoring system performance, researching and resolving problems, unexpected results or process flaws, performing scheduled activities, and escalating and resolving issues with vendor as needed.
-Reports/Interfaces: Develop, code and maintain a variety of complex reports and interfaces for all HR technology solutions utilizing appropriate tools to measure and assess process and system effectiveness, to ensure legal and regulatory compliance and to provide accurate information. Ensure consistent reporting on key performance indicators, including trended data and analysis. Partner with the Project Manager and HR Technology team to gather requirements for reports and interfaces.
-Ongoing System Configuration and Maintenance: Partner with the Project Manager and HR Technology team on system upgrades or patches. Collaborate with functional and technical teams to coordinate the application of an upgrade or patch. Lead the integration of assigned systems into overall HR system architecture.
-System Documentation: Maintain process maps and data dictionary for assigned system(s). Support the data accuracy and integrity of systems by running queries and analyzing data using qualitative/quantitative measurement and data collection design principles. Support data integration into the data warehouse/data lake as well as enterprise reporting structures.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
-Minimum 3 years of experience administering web-based systems/SaaS platforms
-Minimum 5 years of experience administering an enterprise HRMS
-Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with a variety of programming languages
-Strong understanding of database design, structure, functions and processes
-Prior experience in system configuration, testing and validation
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human Resources, Business or a related field or appropriate combination of education and relevant work experience.
